The BIOS is current.

When I downloaded the driver pack, the USB 3.0 Driver folder only had a readme in it indicating that "No drivers are necessary for Windows 8 as they are built into the operating system"

I am putting the system to sleep and it wakes up by itself.

It comes back on when in sleep.

The LAN port is connected to a router, but wake on lan is turned off.

I see this behavior without any keyboard plugged in at all.

I have followed the instructions from microsoft.  Most of which involve turning off devices' ability to wake the computer.  I have disabled all devices that you can disable.
