We are having a very strange issue with our new Dell Latitude e6540 laptops and Optiplex 9020's. Both of which have Intel i217-lm network cards. We are finding high udp (and tcp) packet loss when using iperf as a test. The issue was found through Microsoft Lync as when placing a video call this uses UDP. We've found that connecting two laptops to the same switch produces awful video quality, and through iperf we've found packet loss of up to 30%.
Other hardware works without any problems, ruling out Lync or our switches. Also if you disable the LAN connection on the laptops and use wifi only the video calls/UDP tests work perfectly. So that also discounts the Lync client on the actual laptops.
Has anyone got any ideas?
