For those having issues on Windows 8.1
Unfortunately many of us have been plagued with issues since upgrading to Windows 8.1 due to Intel's horriblethird party offshore support....In a previous thread of mine it was discovered that the Widi App v4.1.19.0 is the last version that will Install on Windows 8.1 without the installation lock (AKA compatibility lock) and it is theONLY version of Widi that can output 60hz+ as there are huge technical flaws in the baked in version of Widi/Miracast charms menu.
I advise all users to not use the baked in standard until it is fixed to output 60hz+ unless you enjoy horrible video and sound quality and instead use the link above to download the 4.1.19.0 Widi App which Intel has forced us to use due to lack of any other options.
